Privacy Policy
Updated 8 October 2026
This policy explains how Blue Ocean Sales and Management LLC, operating as Global Yacht Surveyor, handles information through this website. Contact Tony Gagliardo at tony@globalyachtsurveyor.com with privacy questions or requests.
Enquiries and information you provide
Our enquiry form asks for your name, email address, phone number and message, with optional boat and location details. We use this information to respond, discuss your requirements and arrange requested services. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information.
Form submissions are processed through Formspree and delivered for Tony to handle. Email, telephone and WhatsApp communications use their respective service providers. Enquiry information is kept separate from website analytics. Sending a form is not an agreement to receive marketing.
Website measurement
Google Analytics has been removed from this website. We use Google Search Console to review aggregate Google search performance, such as search queries, impressions and clicks. Search Console does not require a visitor tracking script on this site.
We use GoatCounter for aggregate page statistics and contact-action counts. GoatCounter uses no tracking cookies. Its provider temporarily processes the site identifier, IP address and browser information to distinguish visits; it describes retention of this in-memory information for up to eight hours. Statistics are stored in aggregate form. See GoatCounter’s privacy policy.
Our measurement excludes query strings, URL fragments and referring-page paths. It records fixed events for confirmed successful form submissions and clicks on telephone, email and WhatsApp links. A link click does not establish that a conversation occurred. Names, contact details, message text and boat details are not included in those events.
Hosting, cookies and external services
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Hosting and service providers may process technical connection information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect their services. See GitHub’s privacy statement.
We do not use advertising cookies or Google Analytics tracking on this site. Previously set Google Analytics cookies may remain in your browser until they expire or you clear them; removing the tracking code stops this site using them. External websites and services linked from this site have their own privacy practices.
Use, access and retention
We use enquiry information to handle your request and any resulting professional engagement, maintain appropriate business records and meet applicable obligations. Access is limited to those who need the information for those purposes and relevant service providers. We retain information according to those purposes and applicable recordkeeping requirements.
Service providers may process information outside your country. Their privacy notices explain their practices and applicable safeguards. We do not sell enquiry information or use it for advertising profiles.
Your choices and rights
You can contact Tony to ask about information you have provided or request access, correction or deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing or receive a copy of your information, and to complain to a relevant data protection authority. Some records may need to be retained for legal or professional obligations.
You can contact Tony directly by email or telephone instead of using the form. Merely visiting this website is not treated as consent to optional tracking. We will update this policy when our practices change.
